Wool holds heat — cotton lets air through. If the photoshoot is outdoors in May or the elopement is somewhere warm, this is the version that makes sense. Comfortable from the first portrait to the last without overheating between shots.

Grey in any light

Grey over white, grey over ivory, grey over a colored dress — it sits neutral without disappearing. Reads clean in both natural and edited photos. Doesn't compete with the gown, completes it.

When to Wear It

Spring or summer elopement

Light enough for a warm day outdoors. Works in gardens, fields, and city locations where a heavy wool layer would be too much.

Post-wedding portrait session

Easy to carry, quick to put on. No setup, no help needed.

Cotton packs small. Throw it in a bag and it comes out fine.

Wool or cotton — what changes?

Two materials, two seasons. The wool poncho is for cold outdoor ceremonies and winter elopements. This one is cotton — spring and summer.

Does it fit over any dress?

It drapes rather than fits. No buttons, no zips. Pull it on and it sits.

Can I wear it after the wedding?

A grey cotton wrap works year-round. Doesn't read as a wedding piece when worn casually.

Hand washes in warm water (35C / 95F). Use a detergent for delicate. Do not twist and do not use bleach. Get rid of excess water simply, roll it in a towel, the excess water will go and put out to dry.
